This type of castle is Austin's favorite because there are plenty of rooms to explore, but enough parts in ruin to climb on.
This castle was amazing, and it was the perfect end to our trip. The next day as we were driving across Germany, we felt like we really needed a good German meal. Well, maybe we didn't need it as much as we wanted it! We stopped in Wurzburg at the Wurzburger Hofbraukeller, courtesy of TripAdvisor (which is one of my best friends)! The food was incredible and just what we were craving. I'm pretty sure we'll eat here every time we're in or near Wurzburg.
I don't remember the name of Austin's dish, but it was basically sausage, potatoes, and scrambled eggs all cooked together. How much more southern could this be?? He cleaned his plate!
I got my favorite thing - kase spaetzle. I am literally obsessed with it!
Laurel had a schnitzel plate with two kinds of gravy and fried egg on top.
You'd think no one would have had room for dessert after all of this, but not so with teenage appetites!
Vanilla ice cream for the boy...
and apple strudel for the girl!
Wow! What a fantastic meal and just an overall incredible weekend!!
