Lake Plansee, Austria is my favorite "found by accident" spot! We happened upon it during our BFF trip to Neuschwanstein Castle back in June. We were enjoying the beauty of our drive when out of nowhere, we saw this gorgeous lake. We literally could not believe the colors we were seeing. It was the most vibrant blue, green, and turquoise lake any of us had ever laid eyes on! It was just incredibly picturesque and serene, so much so that we had to tear ourselves away from it in order to make it to Neuschwanstein. There's not much more to say about it with words other than if you are ever in the Garmisch area of Germany, do not miss the opportunity to see this beautiful place! A picnic basket and blanket are highly recommended! ;)
