Punat, Croatia

In September of last year (yes, I'm still almost a year behind on blog posts), Don & Austin went on a guided hunt in Croatia. Laurel and I, along with our friend Hannah who was visiting from the States, tagged along, but certainly not to hunt. While the boys were off stalking deer, we were chilling out on the beaches of Punat, a tiny little coastal town on the island of Krk. Punat, home to only around 1,800 people, offers beautiful scenery and a laidback, relaxing atmosphere with lots of peace and quiet, which is just what we were looking for after a busy summer of travelling to some of Europe's most touristy destinations. This was actually the only "sit on the beach and relax" trip we took during our time here because there were just so many things we tried to check off of our European bucket list.

The Croatian coast is really one of Europe's hidden gems. The beaches and water are absolutely stunning, and the cost to vacation in Croatia is very reasonable. We didn't "do" a lot, other than soak in the beauty of this place and eat, which in my book is A-OK! I mean, who wouldn't want to just sit and look at this all day?

Punat is a super cute little town with several restaurants and a ton of charm. We had a great little apartment right in the middle of things with a balcony where we could watch the sun set each day.

We saw lots of grapes growing in people's yards.

The water was such beautiful, clear shades of greens and blues.

Here's Hannah looking super cute in her floppy hat. :)

I loved going out each evening at dusk and watching the sun set over the water. The sunsets were amazing!

This was just another beautiful destination in Europe that caused me to be reminded of the greatness of God and the astonishing beauty of the world He created.
